It's preseason, and there's a chance not everyone will stick, but it's still exciting to note the progress that Scarlet Knights are making in the pros. Scarletknights .com also has video of the press conference where Britt announced his decision. My opinion on this is that Britt certainly made the right decision. There is little left for him to accomplish as far as personal goals at the collegiate level. In addition, Rutgers will be breaking in a new starting QB next season which means it's likely that there would've been a drop in his numbers. Nothing against the current crop of RU QBs , but it's unlikely that the team will throw as much with a new QB when there are 4 running backs on the roster capable of having a 100-yard game. Also, physically, Britt has shown the maturity and make-up necessary to be successful at the next level. His performance over the past 6 games, including a few games on national TV, has put his stock at an all-time high, and that type of oppor...

Rutgers’ 49-16 dismantling of USF today was a resounding statement from a team that is clearly out to prove to itself that it is as good as advertised when the season began. Most preseason predictions had Rutgers at the tail end of the Top 25. Premature? Of course they were. The Scarlet Knights only needed to replace the best running back in school history and a handful of quality starters from both sides of the ball. At the same time, the University of South Florida Bulls were picked even higher than Rutgers in most of the preseason polls. The team’s seasons have become mirror opposites. While RU started 1-5, the Bulls rolled to a 5-0 record becoming for a short time the toast of the state of Florida. Since then, the Bulls have gone 1-4. Now they sit at a fairly respectable 6-4 but really not in a position to do much damage as far as qualifying for a major bowl.
