Start Times for Five 2017 Football Games


The Big Ten has announced the start times of five upcoming Rutgers football games for the 2017 season:

9/1 home vs. Washington will air at 8:00 p.m. on FS1
9/23 at Nebraska, 3:30 p.m.
10/21 vs. Purdue, Noon
10/28 at Michigan, Noon
11/11 at Penn State, Noon

Michael Burton Signed by the Chicago Bears

ESPN reporter Field Yates was the first to report that the Chicago Bears have signed former Rutgers fullback Michael Burton. That did not take long for Burton, who joins former Scarlet Knight Marcus Cooper on the Bears.

Rice to Coach New Rochelle Running Backs

Ray Rice has landed at his alma mater, New Rochelle High School as the school's running backs coach. It's is good to see that Ray continues to make positive steps as he continues to rebuild his image. Kevin Devaney, Jr., broke the news for News12 Varsity.

The Scarlet Knights take on the Cornhuskers today in Lincoln , Nebraska , in what is the Big Ten opener for both teams. Rutgers Media Day Ash Press Conference Highlights

On Sunday, Rutgers head football coach Chris Ash took the podium for his Rutgers Media Day press conference. In what was roughly a twenty-minute update and chat with the media, he covered quite a bit of ground, shedding some light on some new faces that are making an impact, slight changes in look and strategy, and giving an updated timetable on the quarterback decision. On the overall vibe of training camp, Ash feels its been "very productive" and that Rutgers has "improved in all areas of our football team." As importantly, the "overall health is good," in the sense that there haven't been any additional significant injuries in the past week. If the team hadn't improved in all areas something would truly be amiss, so that's expected.
